I retired from my woodworking business in 2007 due to health issues, but after several surgeries and years of recovery, and now some 18 years later, it was in 2025 that woodworking became theraputic in my recovery, and then it became a hobby on steroids.

Now, I make anything from unique checkerboard game tables to custom creations of all types. I pour my passion into every piece of furniture I craft.

I am dedicated to quality craftsmanship, creativity in design, even while indevoring to bring your wooden-desires to life. 

In 2004, I entered a furniture design contest using this very checkerboard game table. I did not win, but was acknowledged for my excellent craftsmanship.

1) WoodWorks I, LLC creates handcrafted wood products with care, skill, and attention to detail. Each item is individually made, and natural variations in wood grain, color, and texture are expected and appreciated as part of the character of handcrafted work. 

All products are intended for normal residential use unless otherwise specified. WoodWorks I, LLC is not responsible for damage or injury resulting from misuse, improper installation, lack of maintenance, or modifications made after purchase. 

By purchasing from WoodWorks I, LLC, the buyer acknowledges and accepts responsibility for the safe and appropriate use of the product. 

2) All seating products are handcrafted by WoodWorks I, LLC for standard residential use. It is not certified for commercial, industrial, or heavy‑duty applications. Do not exceed normal household weight limits or use the product on uneven or unstable surfaces.

Periodically check for loose joints or hardware. Discontinue use immediately if any instability, wobbling, or structural concerns are observed.

3) All items are sold by WoodWorks I, LLC. Once received, the buyer assumes responsibility for proper use, care, and maintenance of the product.

4) To ensure long-lasting performance, keep this item in a dry, climate-controlled environment. Avoid excessive moisture, direct heat, or prolonged exposure to sunlight. Tighten any hardware as needed and inspect joints periodically.

Handcrafted wood products naturally expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity. This is normal and not considered a defect.

5) All sales made by WoodWorks I, LLC are final unless otherwise stated. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations in color, grain, and dimensions may occur. These variations are not defects but natural characteristics of handmade woodwork.

WoodWorks I, LLC is not responsible for damage caused by improper handling, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow care instructions. Once the product is received, the buyer assumes responsibility for installation, maintenance, and safe use.

Custom orders require approval of design and materials before work begins. Any changes requested after production has started may result in additional charges.
